Imagine a meme, any meme...an idea, a prevailing thought, a tendril of systematic processes in the mind, guided by genes, focused by tendencies of the cultural being and sentience of humanity. If a particularly powerful meme becomes embodied into several other memes, we call this a Meme-Complex. "A set of mutually-assisting memes which have co-evolved a symbiotic relationship. Religious and political dogmas, social movements, artistic styles, traditions and customs, chain letters, paradigms, languages, etc. are meme-complexes. Also called an m-plex, or scheme" (Hofstadter).

If a meme-pool is the total and absolute availability of memes in any culture, than the Meme-complex is a bubble in the pool, like the primordial soup of our biological creation, the Meme-complex can be a driver for evolutionary principles in cultural genetics. New memes have to compete in already established strongholds of Meme-complexes. I often equate intellectual ability to the ability to establish yourself in a meme-pool with a higher number of memes assimilated than other people caught in Meme-complexes. Like Nietzsche's "overman" a greater soul exists in these pools. These are the Memetic Engineers. The manipulators and creators of new memes. Destroying and rebuilding older more estabablished Meme-complexes with the purity of blinding enlightenment and dynamic progression in thought.

In America, because of the massively large meme-pool, we have the potential to be the greatest producer of memetic engineers. We also have the most potent Meme-complex next to Islamic fundamentalism, what I lovingly call from this point forward The Darkness, or Christianity. This Meme-complex is buried deep into the fabric of our society. The tendrils of the Darkness weave and embed into every conscience mind in western society, from the good in our primitive morality to the unrelenting bad, the stranglehold on intellectualism and rational thought. The Darkness has the potential to destroy opposing Meme-complexes and eradicate immediately potential newcomers. An idea that challenges the sanctity of Man based monotheism so strictly adhered to in the Darkness is tantamount to unforgivable blasphemy and persecution in the meme-pool. Leaders of the country believe those that do no believe are not worthy of citizenship, the country will not vote for a non-belever in political office, and they cannot see non-believers or for better definition, non-infected, as morally capable. Long after most reasonable men and women would shed themselves of the image of a mastermind creator, tooth fairy, or santa claus, these people bitterly and willingly sacrifice their only lives for the potential of unearned immortal glory. Those who are of the different meme-complex, mostly those that encompass more of the trillions of memes in the meme-pool, are at unbalanced disadvantage. Perhaps they represent the most intelligent in society, the most versatile, the most moral, the most ethical, and the most spirited, but the masses are unrelenting, the Darkness possesses a horde of unimaginable power and unrelenting conviction. They are armed with smug sciolism and rampant unwillingness to reason.

These people take your life, your only life, as the cost of something unknowable, something unattainable, for the profit and internal sanctity of lazy minds of the most massive meme-complex.

A dying organism of any type will exhibit behavior associated with less exploration, a tendency towards traditional values as a survival mechanism.

Akhenaten was the first monotheist, most likely creating monotheism...Amenhotep IV converting his name to roughly mean "he who works for Aten". Aten was nothing more than a composite deity of Ra, Amun, and Horus. The first type of single God though...leave it to the Judeo/Christians to create God into a man, instead of men into Gods.

A new concept: What I call the Private Defeat.
I was thinking about why men like video games, ironically and I realized it was mostly because when we lose it is in private. It was not a public humiliation. Private defeat is a driving force to many a male behaviors.

I have created a new word to replace "Pro-Life", seeing as it really does not describe the movement. Help spread the word.

Pro-Deprecates: "Those who devalue or make obsolete a women's role in society by advocating anti-abortion laws"

The Pro-Deprecates marched onto Washington with their picket signs, believing that women were meant solely to bear children and allow Federal Government to make laws against the use of their bodies, they were willing to sacrifice their liberties for the betterment of cell clusters.

Ego is the only battlefield that yields performance, efficiency, and naturally selective progression.

We live in a world of clear and discernible inadequacy to overcome the festering sense of values defined by the rules and laws of long standing traditions deeply embedded from forgotten cultures. This world calls upon the morality of right and wrong, and not upon the system of values that define the actions of the system. Many of these moral drivers, the theologians, clergy, and cross bearing insensates call upon the scientific approach to life as inappropriate to states of visceral anguish in mankind. They claim that humility, anguish, suffering, and piety are the virtues of good men, those who humble themselves to the invisible deity of systematic divine origins. The divine afflatus of great works has ended, and it is not the end of culture, but merely a new stage...the scientific magnitude of creativity is as unlimited as the imaginary boundaries of less explored systems...Our souls are no less important, our art no less significant...scientific experience is no less venial than its' older counterpart, religion. Nature can and will decide morality, aside from cultured memetic battlefields...

Think of the similiarities, religion exists to answer the questions that we could not...estimated guesses...but blanketed with the need for our own superiority...
Immortality...God offers it...the divine experience of any religion is the immortal certainty of yourself, be it punishment or not...science offers death...no recourse...but that is not entirely true, with the concepts of pantheism and ever evolving thermal dynamics...death is but a single stage of life...our genetics, our perfect memes, are the only true continual and ever changing form of immortality...and science can and will answer the questions of our possibilities in immortal flesh...
To the chagrin disapproval of the Religious entities...only the divine immortality is correct...This myopic approach to any system is its' downfall...

Yes, at this moment, the weaker system is in charge...but like all dynamics, the burnout will be hard...
I will enjoy the pure and simplistic new beauty...aesthetically pleasing and natural afflatus of life, lacking divinity...

I will call it "Naturatus"...The strong creative impulse, naturally inspired.

Welcome to what may prove to be an ambitious project...

My name is Dane, I am recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Psychology and Computer Applications.

I am an aspiring memeticist and evolutionary psychologist, and a bright. although I might lack the credentials of a fully educated scientist in the field, I nonetheless can hold my own in conversation, debate, and the peer review process. I consider myself a social engineer, an intellect and rarely humble observer of the forces of mass behavior and cultural evolution. The goal of this blog, with my chosen team members and future colleagues, will be an analysis and observation of our culture that will offer an insightful and hopefully humorous outlook of our species memetic evolution and the mass behavior of our specifically complex design fabric.

I openly invite all debate and comments, but please keep an open mind and remember that most of us believe the things we do because we think it will benefit humanity.
